Calcium Silicide

Calcium Silicide is an alloy of 60-65% Silicon, 28-32% Calcium used in a form of powder and lumps in iron and steel. It is used as a deoxidizer and desulphuriser owing to high affinity calcium for oxygen, sulphur and other elements.
